Friday will be World Downs Syndrome Day - we will celebrate by wearing mismatched socks at WDES!
Just a quick reminder that there was a calendar change. Today Thursday, March 20th is a full day of school and tomorrow Friday, March 21st is an early release.. Also there will be no Presque Isle Tech Center classes tomorrow.

Congratulations to Isabelle Allen and Mitchell Dow for being named 2025 Aroostook League Senior Academic Scholars. Isabelle and Mitchell will be recognized on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the annual Aroostook League Scholar Athlete Banquet held at Rendezvous in Caribou.
Congratulations to Isabelle Allen, Logan Curtis and Madelyn Johnston for being selected to play in the Aroostook League Senior All-Star Game! They will take the court tonight in Caribou at 5:30. Hope to see you all there supporting our girls!

Mismatch Day at WDES on Friday!
Monday, March 3 will be our annual Dr. Seuss Night for grades PreK-2! Come out between 6-7:30 and enjoy some fun reading-based activities.
An RSVP was sent home earlier this week - please send that back or let your child's teacher know so we have an approximate head count.
Thursday will be a school-wide sliding day! We will have classes rotating to have an hour "on the hill" and then enjoy hot chocolate with their class in the room.
We do have sleds available, but families may drop off sleds in the front lobby - be sure to label your child's sled and remember to pick them up after!

Tonight our girls will travel to Ashland to face the Hornets in an 11 vs 6 playoff matchup and a chance for a quarter final game at the Cross Insurance Center on Saturday.
As many of you have heard, after the boys huge win over Wisdom Thursday night we ended in a tie with Wisdom for the final playoff spot. Therefore, we will play the Pioneers tonight in a play-in game for that spot. The game has to be played at a neutral site and will be hosted by Van Buren. Let's pack that gym with Beaver Fans!!!
Stop by the high school office next week and get your post-season gear! We have t-shirts, long sleeved tees and sweatshirts!!!
