All MSAD 45 schools will be closed for Spring Break Monday, April 15 - Friday, April 19. School will resume on Monday, April 22.

Our jazz choir traveled to the State Vocal Jazz Festival in Ellsworth this weekend. They received a Bronze award along with individual awards for all three soloists - Mitchell, Caitlin (Easton member), and Cadie. Washburn was well represented!
Please be sure not to drive through the road in front of the elementary school during dismissal time. Walkers and students being picked up by parents are often walking across that road and there should be no cars going through towards the high school.
WDES will be celebrating Read Across Aroostook Week from April 8-12. See attached flyer to join in the fun each day!
All Washburn rec. activities will be cancelled for April 4.
Due to the weather, all MSAD 45 afterschool activities for today Thursday, April 4th have been cancelled.
Due the predicted weather, there will be no After School Program today Thursday, April 4th.
Don't forget that Friday will be a full day of school - a change from the original calendar. Students will have an early release on Monday, April 8 so that they will be home to enjoy the solar eclipse with their families.
During the monthly Student of the Month assembly the Student Leadership Council did a skit and presentation for the bus drivers. They wanted to make sure the drivers knew they were appreciated for keeping our students safe on the roads.

POSTPONED! Unfortunately due to the predicted snow storm tomorrow we have postponed our Drive-Thru Pulled Pork fundraiser. It has been rescheduled to next Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 10:30-untill sold out.
March 25-29 Washburn Elementary will have a spirit wear week! See attached to start planning your child's outfits.

Come pick up your pulled pork sandwich lunch and support our varsity basketball teams who are traveling to Boston next month to a Celtics game!
