Kyle Thurston, a senior at WDHS, earned a Gold Medal in the SkillsUSA cabinetmaking contest! Kyle has been eager to be in the shop anytime he can. Here at WDHS, he completed Mr. Hanson's Woodworking I & II classes during his freshmen and sophomore years. His passion for working has continued through his enrollment in Mr. Bragan's Building Trades program through the Presque Isle Regional Career and Technical Center.
Kyle became involved in SkillsUSA through the Building Trades program at theTech. Center. Today, the Building Trades program attended the trade show at the Forum where Kyle earned GOLD in the Cabinetmaking contest. In addition to the gold medal, Kyle was presented with a hat, tool bag, and shirt from SW Collins and Makita.
