Principal Worcester along with the staff of Washburn District High School, are proud to announce Beckam Vaughn as Student of the Month for February.  He is a Senior at WDHS and the son of Erik and Erika Vaughn. 

Beckam has been and continues to be involved in every facet of the school community.  He has been involved in student government and is currently President of the Senior Class.  He is a member of the varsity club, has been a member of this year’s yearbook publication, and was inducted into the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society.  In addition to these activities, Beckam has participated in every varsity sport the school offers.  At the end of the recent basketball season, he was named to the Senior All-Star team and named as an All-Aroostook player.  

When it comes to the classroom, Beckam does well. He is a hard worker, responsible, and eager to help his teachers and classmates.  “Beckam,” as described by Ms. Drost, “is a caring and empathetic young man.  He is well-liked by his peers and teachers.”  Beckam is a hard-working and driven young man.  In addition to his academic and extracurricular activities, Beckam is part of the Washburn Volunteer Fire Department, serving as a Jr. Firefighter.  He also works part-time at a local grocery store.  Congratulations on all of your recent achievements Beckam!
