Principal Worcester along with the staff of Washburn District High School are proud to announce Christopher Tardie as Student of the Month for January. He is a Junior at WDHS and the son of Paul and Yvonne Tardie.
Christopher excels both in the classroom as well as in athletics. He has been a Varsity member of the school’s Cross Country teams, as well as a current member of the Boys’ Soccer, Baseball, and Track and Field teams. Recently, this fall, Christopher was inducted into Washburn’s chapter of the National Honor Society. Besides excelling in the classroom and school activities, he is an active member of Washburn’s Boy Scout Troop 177 participating in many community service projects.
The staff at WDHS agree, that Christopher has a great sense of humor and is “an incredibly thoughtful student.” Ms. Jones continues, “Chris, asks how my day is going and always tells me to have a good day when he leaves. I enjoy the conversations we have in class.” Mrs. Hemphill adds, “Chris is highly motivated and is a hard-working young man. He is a high achiever academically and has high goals for himself.” Congratulations Christopher!
