Health Office

Dear Parents/Guardians:

COVID-19 is prevalent everywhere in Aroostook County right now. Our hospitals are full! I'm writing to ask that if your child is sick or having any symptoms, PLEASE keep them home. If your child is not better in 24 hours, PLEASE have them tested and get the results BEFORE sending them back to school.

As a standard rule, please follow these bullet points on what to do.

  • If your child(ren) is in close contact with anyone who has tested positive outside of your home, keep them home and call me.
  • If anyone in your household thinks they may have COVID-19, keep your child(ren) home until tested and you have received their results.
  • If anyone in your home tests positive, KEEP your child(ren) home and call me. I will let you know when they can return to school.

As always, please practice common sense, stress proper mask-wearing and good hand washing, and please, think about having your child(ren) vaccinated.

Thank you for your support and understanding. Most of all, thank you for your KINDNESS this year! We are all doing our very best to keep all of our children safe!

May you all have a Merry Christmas, and may 2022 bring a happier, less stressful, and safer New Year for all of us!

Sincerely,

Ruth White, RN, BSN
