Principal Worcester and the Washburn District High School staff are pleased to announce Mitchell Dow as the February Student of the Month.  He is a sophomore at WDHS and the son of Scott and Angela Dow. 

When asked about Mitchell, Ms. Drost said, "Mitchell always goes above and beyond in academics.  He uses his time and resources wisely.  He sets the bar high."  Ms. Jones added, "Mitchell is honest and hard-working.  He's funny and likes to help me keep his classmates in check."  

Mitchell's hard work has earned him many academic awards, including the highest achievement in many subject areas and continuously achieving the Highest Honors on each quarter's honor roll.  Mitchell's hard work and dedication go beyond the classroom.  He participates in many school activities.  Mitchell is a member of the Varsity Club and Woodworking Club.  He plays baritone saxophone in the school band.  He is also on the varsity soccer and baseball teams. 

Mitchell's drive for success and hard-working attitude are among the many qualities and reasons why he is the February student of the month.
