The WDHS DI Team spent the week of May 21-27 in Knoxville, Tennessee competing and interacting with DI teams from 48 states and 18 countries. They learned a lot and had the opportunity to see great performers, interact with organizations such as NASA. Without the support of the community, local and county businesses, friends and family this amazing experience would not have happened. Thank you to everyone that purchased items, attended fundraisers, and donated items or money!
On Friday, June 1st, Ms. Silver’s class invited family and friends to a final cardio drumming performance. Under the direction of Mrs. Gardiner, the students have been working since February to learn their routines. The group drummed to a couple of current songs, I Lived and Just Like Fire. They entertained with the classics Ghostbusters and Eye of the Tiger. And they wowed with the dynamic Drums of Africa. The students were pleased to show off their hard work and talents. Everyone enjoyed an ice cream treat at the end of the show to wrap up a perfect evening.
Dear parents and guardians of the 8th grade students, please check the letter which is being sent home today. The letter consists of important information about end of the year events.
