Geometry in the World   

   

Directions:  Create a PowerPoint with both text and pictures, explaining how geometry applies to the world in which we live.

Students will follow the steps:

  1. Choose a topic.  Examples include: architecture (buildings, bridges), sports, quilting, the natural world, construction, etc.

  2. Use Picsearch  & Infotopia Image Portal to  find pictures supporting topic

  3. Create 10 slides  with one title page including text explaining the slide.

  4. Edit to correct content and mechanics.

  5. Present to the class.

Prior Instruction: Introduction to angles, lines, planes, geometric shapes
