The Monarchs of the Renaissance Period

Task:

You will select on monarch from the following list.

Once you have done a preliminary search about your monarch and the surrounding social, political and religious climate, you will develop a thesis statement about one aspect of your monarch and the times in which he/she reigned.

Here is an example of a student's thesis statement from a research paper:

Thesis: "King Henry VIII was one of the most important Kings in English History; however, motivated by personal reasons as much as the interests of his country, Henry successfully orchestrated a split from the Papacy and was the inciting force behind the creation of the Anglican Church. This, coupled with several other acts, laid the groundwork that allowed England to become a dominant power in the years that followed."

Format:

 

All papers must begin with the structured introductory paragraph (20 pts.)

The conclusion (20 pts.) will also be structured

You will receive instruction in class for this format

A bibliography page (10 pts.)consisting of entries will be developed on the Noodlebib website.
