Downloading a United Streaming Video

 

 

 

Go to the United Streaming website: http://www.unitedstreaming.com

 

 

2. You will need to set-up a NEW USER account, if you have not already.

3. Once you have an account, you may then log-in with your User Name and Password.

4. The United Streaming website will appear.

 

 

You may search within all areas (as indicated above).

Or you may search by SUBJECT and GRADE (listed on the left-hand side of the webpage).

 

 

 

After you have located a video, click on the blue hyperlinked TITLE and you will be taken to the video page.

 

From the video page you will see the video clip on the left-hand side and the information about the video on the right-hand side.

 

 

On the right-hand side are tabs that allow you to see the FULL VIDEO, VIDEO SEGMENTS, CITATIONS, and RELATED MATERIALS.

· FULL VIDEO –the entire video can be played (streamed) or downloaded.

· VIDEO SEGMENT—you may choose a portion of the video to use (good for short introductory units or share important points within a lecture or project)

· CITATIONS—the complete citation is available for citing within a bibliography.

· RELATED MATERIALS—these are the Teacher’s Lessons or Instructional Guide that usually accompany a video.

 

 

 

TO DOWNLOAD:

 

To download the video, look at the bottom right-hand corner of the video page.

 

 

 

Right-click the words DOWNLOAD ALL.

Choose SAVE TARGET AS

When the file is ready to download, choose the directory where you plan to save it. (Usually in your My Documents)

** YOU MAY RENAME THE VIDEO SO THAT YOU CAN LOCATE IT ONCE AGAIN, HOWEVER, BE SURE TO RETAIN THE FILE EXTENSION.

For example, the file may originally read: pgr19621_256k.asx

But you may change it to: Math Literacy.asx
