Century Community Learning Center Program
Please join us for an Open House celebrating our accomplishments from this past school year. From 6:00-7:30, students and parents can visit stations around the school which will highlight our activities and studies. Students who are currently in the first grade this year are encouraged to attend with their parents.

Congratulations to the Washburn Beaver Robotics Team!
The Robotics Team, advised by Don Hanson, traveled to Castine, Maine to the Northern Maine Robotics Track Meet. The results are as follows:
1st Place in the Ping Pong Shot Put–McCall T. and Taylor S.
2nd Place in the Speed Build Competition- Cindy K.
2nd Place in the Strongest Robot- Virginia F. and Darbie K.
3rd Place in the Speed Build Competition- Jessica A.
3rd place in the Slope Climbing Event- Cameron P., Kenny I., and Taylor S.
Mission:
The mission of the Washburn 21st Century Afterschool Program is to serve all students & families in our community with programs facilitated by role models who provide opportunities to participate in unique learning experiences and lifelong wellness activities to develop socially responsible, resilient individuals who will thrive as adults in our community.
Goals:
Provide a safe and inviting atmosphere for all students
Allow students to make choices within the daily program offerings
Maintain high expectations for staff & volunteers in the program
Develop the program to become an integral piece of our community
Maintain a sustainability plan that will allow the program to operate indefinitely in Washburn
Involve parents & families in student experiences as well as educational opportunities on a regular basis.
